Today I have an altered project to show you that I have made for the challenge at Quoth the Raven http://poequoththeraven.blogspot.co.uk/ . I have altered a candle and candle stick. All the images I have used are from the Quoth the Raven set from Smeared Ink. The images on the candle were printed direct onto tissue paper, just tape one end of the tissue paper to a piece of A4 card and it goes through the printer with no problems. They were then cut out and using a heat gun and a piece of greaseproof paper stuck to the candle. The images for the candle stick were printed onto card and then cut out and glued onto the candle stick. The only colour used was on the heart and was done with a red pro-marker.
The candle is a 3 1/2 inch square and the candle stick is 12 inch's high.
I shall enter my candle and candle stick into the following challenges:-

Great work on the candle holder and the candle. Thanks for joining us at Quoth the Raven and Smudgy Antics :)
ReplyDeleteLike all the different candles. I have seen a tutorial where you can lay the tissue on the candle and use a heat gun to melt the wax underneath. Then press gently and the tissue will be infused w/ the wax. Wonderful project!
