Smeared & Smudged

Hope you are all having a fantastic Mothers Day. Today I have to share with you a Shadow Box I have made for the Guest Designer Challenge at Smeared and Smudged. This month the guest is Kathi and she challenged us to do Green Steampunk using upcycled items and to Steampunk Critters/Insects. In my Shadow Box I have used recycled coke cans, string, hand made flowers, metal charms, metal beads and cogs.  The frame I altered was a picture frame bought from a charity shop which I painted green. I made the shelves's out of cardboard and covered with paper with cogs on. I glued cogs onto a spider, fly and 2 beetles. I glued various charms and beads around the edge  and inside the box. I then stamped the male image onto card coloured with promarkers and cut him out and glued inside the box. With the coke cans I first sanded the inside slightly then stamped some steampunk wings, flying machine and a compass. These were then glued into place. Hope you like it see you soon.

I will be entering my shadow box into the following challenges:-

Take care
