Smeared & Smudged Guest DT Challenge

Hi All

Hope you have had a great weekend. Today I have a scrapbook layout for the Guest DT Challenge at Smeared & Smudged. This month Kristy wanted us to use family photo's. As I am making a scrapbook about my weight loss ( 4 stone lost ) and wanted to do a page with different pictures to show how far I had come I thought I would make it for Kristy's challenge. The very centre photo is about 2 weeks old. The photo top right was taken last year and the top left around 4 years ago. The photo at the bottom left is a school photo of me ( wasn't I cute NOT lol ) and the right bottom was taken many years ago with my youngest son, the middle bottom was about 3 years ago. I have stamped some butterflies and dragonfly's on to the layout and also added some flowers and metal charms. I hope I have not made you all feel sick with the pictures of myself lol. Take care all

Macabre Monday

Hi All

This is the card for the challenge at Macabre Monday http://haunteddesignhouse.blogspot.com/ who's theme is "Get Lost". I have used a map from the area where I live which is on the coast. I used some black lace and stamped out some dragons . One I coloured with distress ink one was stamped then a map stamp was stamped over it the last dragon was done on a coloured piece of paper. Smudgy Antics

Hi All

I hope you all had a great weekend. Today I have a card I made for the challenge at Smudgy Antics http://smudgyantics.blogspot.com/ who's theme this week is Tall Dark and Gruesome. I had fun doing this card and used things that I have not used before. I started with a tall dark blue card base for the tall and dark of the challenge I then layed on top of the card 2 mask's a web and a spider I then sprayed with Cosmic Shimmer Mist, colour Rich Gold. I had not used the mask's before and it was great fun will be doing it again. I added the skull from Smeared Ink and some red fabric paint for the blood drips the gruesome part of the challenge at the top of the card I used a small clear tile stamped with a skull which I received in my Secret Santa parcel. Thanks for coming to see me see you again very soon.

Smudgy Antics

Hi All

I have made a fat book page for the challenge at Smudgy Antics this week. http://smudgyantics.blogspot.com/. The theme this week is Masking. The image I used is from Smeared Ink called Symboligy of Angels the one I used is called Slave. I stamped the image onto card and tissue paper which I used to mask the image to make the background, it was coloured with promarkers. I inked around the edge of the page to finish.

Forever Night

Smeared & Smudged Blog Hop

Hi All

Welcome to January's Member's Blog Hop at Smeared and Smudged the theme is "Mesh". I decided to make a Shadow Box for a very dear friend. I have used a Smeared Ink Digital Set "Quoth The Raven" the background paper is from "Crafty Chaos". I put a piece of mesh in the left hand corner. I used the bottom of a coke can and covered it in red velvet material and placed the skull from the set onto it. The large skull was cut in half red gems placed in the eyes and then glued in place. I tied the hands and feet together with chain on the skeleton in the bottom left corner and put him in place. I cut down some candles and used 2 of the sayings from the set. The round pendent was from my jewellery stash. I was very pleased how this turned out and hope you like it to.

Smudgy Antics

Hi All

Today I have the project I made for the challenge at Smudgy Antics. The challenge theme this week is "Recycle Something". I recyled a small cardboard book I received at Christmas which held a scented candle. I covered the box with paper I distressed the edges with ink. The images used are from Smeared Ink from the set "Quoth The Raven". I then cut strips of black card folded in half and used all round the edge of the box. Here is my entry for the challenge at Smudgy Antics this week. The theme is " Wheelie Good Time ". I have used images from Smeared Ink. The cemetery is from Holy City and the Hearse is from the set Victorian Hearse's. I added a little colour to the background with promarkers. The hearse was printed onto Acetate and also coloured with promarkers. I attached the acetate with brads. I added black flowers and ribbon to finish. ForeverNight and Delicious Doodles

Hi All

I hope you all had a great Christmas and New Year. Today I have two projects to show you which are for my DT commitments at Delicious Doodles and Forevernight.

First the Delicious Doodles project.

The theme was " New Year and all Things New" I decided to alter a box the Delicious Doodles image I have used is a new one called " Katarina ". She is coloured with promarkers she is on a piece of metal which I embossed. I added flowers to finish.

Next the ForeverNight project the theme is " I've Been Framed" our sponser is "DillyBeans" The image I chosed was coloured with promarkers. I 3D her bow. The flowers and rubb-on skulls I received in my Secret Santa gift.

Hi All

Welcome to day 6 of The 12 Days of Christmas Smeared and Smudged Style. I can't believe that we are half way already. Today I have a bookmark to share with you. my image is from Smeared Ink and is called "Drinking Buddy Elfette. I think she has had a bit too much of the Christmas Wine and needs to have a little bit of a lie down. She was coloured with promarkers with fake snow added to hat etc. The sentiment I wrote on the computer and says, "Oh my God I Knew I should not have drunk that last bottle. QUICK where is the loo !!!!. Hope you like her and also don't forget to check out the other participants. The roof was painted white then when dry a layer of glue I then sprinkl;ed over the fake snow. Smeared Ink New Releases

Here are two more new releases from Smeared Ink

My mermaid card using a digi from the set Merbabes from Smeared Ink http://www.smearedink.com/
My mermaid was coloured with promarkers the underwater scene I made with glitter glue I am pleased how this came out.

My fairy is another new image from Smeared Ink called Tattoo Fairy with flame wings. I tried to make it that the bottom layer of wings transparent with the flame wings on top I have used 2 fairy brads to finish.

12 Days of Christmas Day 3

Hi All

I hope you all had a great weekend. We have come to day 3 of the 12 Dasys of Christmas Smeared and Smudged Style. Today I have a altered candle to share with you. I have used the new bat with present image from Smeared Ink again ( I do love him ). I first printed the image out large onto card coloured it with promarkers and then re scanned it into the computer. I then printed the coloured version out onto printable tissue paper cut round it and then placed onto candle this was then wrapped in grease proof paper and heated with a heat gun. There are also some presents on each side of the candle but the photo was no good sorry. To finish the candle I placed gold braid aroun the top and bottom. Smeared Ink New Release

Hi All

As promised here is another new image from Smeared Ink. It is from the French Fairies Set and is called Mushroom Fairies.
I coloured the image with promarkers and then placed it inside a wooden frame. The frame was stressed with ink. I then added 2 metal butterflys and 2 metal square charms.

Well here we are in December already, which means the start of "The 12 Days of Christmas" Smeared and Smudged style. I have made a card for my project (the second Christmas card I have made but am I worried no plenty of time yet !!!). I have used one of the adorable Grumpies from Smeared Ink isn't he lovely, he is coloured with pro markers. The background card is from my stash and the presents and trees are cut out from a piece of backing paper. I hope you like my little Grumpie. I first have an announcement from the Owner of StampinSanity Beth.

Happy Thursday! Wow - 80 challenges. That's a milestone! I'm so proud of all the beautiful Groovy Gurlz and the beyond-words incredible work they've produced for your inspiration over the last two years. There are just no words. That makes the Big Announcement that much bigger –and more heartbreaking. This will mark the final StampInsanity Stamps Challenge. After a long, looong, decision process, I've decided it is what is best !there is not enough time in a day, and I am sure you can all relate on some level! I cannot thank you enough for your support, your awesome submissions that you've shared with us and the lovely comments and compliments you've showered over us. I think I speak for the Gurlz when I say your kind words mean everything! So form all of us, a big groovy Thank You. Hi All

My card today is my DT piece for StampinSanity our challenge is "Chill Out". I decided to make a Christmas Card (my second so far only about 50 more to do. lol) My image is from StampinSanity I have used pro markers in shades of blue to colour her. I used blue card stock for the base card and a piece of blue Christmas paper then added a piece of silver card to mount her onto. The words and Christmas ornaments were cut from another piece of paper.

Smudgy Antics and Day 31

Well here we are at the last day of the 31 Days of Halloween I hope you have had as much fun as I have. Today my project is also for my DT piece at Smeared and Smudged our theme is "Dark and Gruesome" why not pop over and join in the fun http://smudgyantics.blogspot.com/ we would love to see you. I have made a shadow box for you to see today this is the first one I have made but will be making more as it was a lot of fun. I painted my box in green paint and then inked the edges. I added German Scrap to the roof edge and stuck a large spider on top. The images used are Smeared Ink, the "Grim Reaper Gravestone" is from "Build a Graveyard" and the "Beakers" are from "Mad Science". I have added small bottles, key, netting, plastic skull, skulls I made with clay and the Pumpkin was made for me my one of my Grandaughter's and I think he looks perfect in my shadow box. Hi All

Here we are at day 21 already of the 31 Days of Halloween with Smeared and Smudged.
Today for you to look at I have a altered frame. I first covered the frame in sticky back velvet ( I wished I hadn't it was a nightmare to do). I sprayed the inside frame with a stone effect spray paint. All images used are Smeared Ink coloured with promarkers flowers are from my stash. The text I printed on the computer I think I will be using that font a lot as I think it is great. I hope you liked seeing my altered frame and will come back tomorrow for day 22. I first painted the coffin in cream paint when dry I over stamped with a background stamp. I added red ric-rac to the base and lid of the coffin. Hi All

Welcome to day 18 of the 31 Days of Halloween at Smeared and Smudged. Today I have altered a tin can lid. The image I have used is from Smeared Ink from the set Mistresses of the Dark she is called Courtney.I am also entering this in the Junk Funk challenge and Smeared and Smudged. I first cut a circle of can to fit the lid I then stamped this with the mesh stamp from Smeared Ink's Nevermore set. Courtney was coloured with promarkers cut out and glued onto the card. I cut a strip of blue fabric did a running stitch gathered and glued onto the back of the lid I cut another circle of card and glued this also at the back to finish. I then put 3D Crystal Lacquer all over the front of the lid, this would not dry so I had to carefully take the photo while it was still wet. Hope you like it. I used black card for my base card then used orange card on top of this I used a piece of dark blue card punched with a MS punch kindly lent to me by BD. I finished off with a blur ribbon. Hi All

Welcome to day 16 of The 31 Days of Halloween at Smeared and Smudged. Today I have a card for you to view. I have used a black base card then a grey card punched with a MS punch kindly lent to me my my mate BD. I then used a light blue paper and finally my image was placed onto a dark blue card. The image is from Smeared Ink and the small amount of colouring was done with promarkers. I typed the sentiment on the computer and printed it onto light blue paper and then layered onto dark blue card. I added black gems down the side to finish. Hope you like it. Smeared and Smudged 31 Days of Halloween

Hi All

I hope you are feeling ok today and welcome to day 15 of The 31 Days of Halloween with Smeared and Smudged. Today I have altered a candle for you to see. I have used the Raven from Smeared Inks set "Nevermore". I stamped the ravens and word onto tissue paper cut them out and applied to the candle by using my heat gun to melt the candle a bit. I then added a ribbon strip with beads which I salvaged from a broken necklace holder some time ago I added brass tacks along the ribbon. At the top I added a piece of black ribbon which I added pins with little jem stones at the top to finish I added a moon charm with a jem pin. Delicious Doodles and Smeared and Smudged Day 14

Welcome

Today my card is for my DT piece at Delicious Doodles and for 31 Days of Halloween at Smeared and Smudged.
The image is from Delicious Doodles and she is called KittyWitch I have coloured her with pro markers and I have 3D the skulls and the cat (not sure if it shows to well in the picture). The moon was cut from yellow card and I used a baby wipe dabbed into a grey inkpad to to add a bit of detail to the moon. Hi All

Welcome to Day 13 of The 31 Days of Halloween at Smeared and Smudged. I hope you are having fun looking at all the fantastic projects each day I know I am.
Today I decided to restart making a Art Journal I decided to start from scratch and make a book to use. I have the front cover to share with you the images are from Smeared Ink don't you love those eyes, the background is from Crafty Chaos. The word spooky was cut on my bigshot. The small amount of colouring was done with pro markers. Will have the back page ready to show you next week.

The image is from (The Octopode Factory) and is called (Headless Spectre) hope you like him. He has been coloured with pro markers the background I downloaded off the Internet and the cat is a die cut I did with my big shot. I typed the sentiment on the computer and then inked the edge's. I added ribbon to be able to hang it up on the wall.

Here we are at day 11 already time flies when you are having fun. Today I have a T-Shirt to share with you. I am sorry that it is the same image as yesterday I was planing I doing 2 T-Shirts these one and one with a male Zombie on it but it did not work. The image is one I coloured a while back with promarkers and scanned into the computer. I printed it on to T-Shirt transfer paper and ironed onto the T-Shirt. Well here we are at day 7 of 31 Days of Halloween hope you are having as much fun as I am. Today I have a necklace and gift box to show you. The gift box was covered with patterned paper then I added the 2 pumpkins and the hand made black velvet flower the necklace was made with a domino i first stamped a web onto it then added the spider and sprayed with varnish. I have used a dark blue card stock which I put stars on with a white pen the image from StampinSanity is coloured with promarkers I have punched a hole in the top and 3 along the bottom of the tag and put in some eyelets and dark blue ribbon to finish. Hi All
Here we are at day 4 of the "31 Days of Halloween", I don't know about you but I am having a blast have even got ahead with my projects this year. Today I have a small set of draws I have altered. I first painted the whole unit red when dry I added pva glue then brushed over with white paint when dry I dirted with some black ink, I glued a skull charm on the front of the draw on top I have used some black flowers, and 2 skulls the image is from "Smeared Ink". Hi All

Welcome to "Day 2 of Smeared and Smudged 31 Dayus of Halloween". Today I have an altered coffin to share with you. I first lightly sanded the coffin and then stamped directly on to the lid with a stamp from the set "Death" from "Smeared Ink". I then sprayed all over the coffin with spray varnish. I then added some gold ric-rac and some gold brads. I lined the inside of the coffin with red velvet material. Hope you like it. Hi All

My tag is for the challenge at "Dragon Dream" who's theme this week is still a song and it is

"Dedicated Follower of Fashion" by the Kinks.

I edged my tag with black lace I stamped a dress and some shoes and coloured them with promarkers and then with the expert assistance of one of Blackdragons twins "Little Black Dragon" they were placed on the tag. A mask and the word fashion were added to finish.

Smeared Ink New Release Hop

At Smeared Ink they have some new Halloween Digi's being released today so we are having a blog hop to show case them. I received one of the new Goth Fairies to work with. I coloured her with promarkers. The bottom layer of card was made with Alchol Inks which I hole punched and then laced some ribbom thro.

Dragon Dream Bird Cage Swap

Hi All

Frankie at Dragon's Dream had a "Bird Cage Swap" I enjoyed making mine. I used a rose corner stamp which was coloured with promarkers. I then stamped 4 birds coloured them and glued 3 on the base card. The bird cage was a die cut, I used a piece of old window blind instead of card to make it. I then glued the last bird onto the back of the bird cage.

Try it on Tuesday GDT

Hi All

My tag today is for Try it on Tuesday http://tuesdaytaggers.blogspot.com/ where I was lucky to win a challenge a few weeks ago and won a Guest DT spot. The theme is to make a tag and to use a old stamp that you have not used before. I found this lovely lady lurking at the bottom of the box , I don't know how I have missed her and not used her before. She has been coloured with promarkers. I used a background stamp on the tag first and distressed the edges I then used 2 different purple inks to go around the edge of the tag. I used some purple flowers and ribbon in 2 corner's and purple jems in the other 2. To finish I threaded purple ribbon through the top hole.

Delicious Doodles

Hi All

This is my first project as a new DT member of
"Delicious Doodles" http://deliciousdoodleschallenge.blogspot.com/ our theme is "Fresh Start"
I decided to use a canvas. I first painted the canvas with blue paint and when dry I dry brushed with white paint. My image is from Delicious Doodles Shop http://deliciousdoodles.blogspot.com/ called
"Gladioli". I printed the image 4 times and coloured them with promarkers, I cut the first image out completely and then cut the other images to make the flower into a decoupage picture. After placing
all the layers I applied 2 coat's of decoupage varnish.
So pop on over to join in with us our challenge will run for 2 weeks so you have plenty of time to play
along.

Smeared Ink

Hi All

I have made this card for the challenge On Smudgy Antics at Smeared Ink. The theme this week is "Up in flames" I used stamps from the set "Nevermore" from Smeared Ink. I first ripped the edges of my background card and then stamped the background all over. With a match I burnt the edge's of the card. The other images were stamped onto card cut out and placed onto the background. Skewers were used at the top and bottom of the card.

She is coloured with promarkers. The black card, spotted paper and spotted ribbon is from my stash.

I have some great news to share with you today. I have been picked to be on the DT at Delicious Doodles. I am over the moon about this as I adore Teri images. I can't wait till we start. Smeared Ink

Hi All

It's challenge time at Smeared Ink http://smudgyantics.blogspot.com/ our theme this week is
"Gothic Newborn". I have decided to alter a small rocking chair and baby doll. I first painted the chair with purple paint it was given 2 coats when dry I stamped a zombie head image from Smeared Ink's "Build a Zombie Set" onto tissue paper and glued one onto the back and front of the chair. The whole chair was then given a coat of pva. I undressed the baby doll and used a sanding block to remove any glue I then darkened the doll with a dark grey pro marker, given sepecial attention to around the eyes. I was going to make a new dress for her but decided to try to cover her pink dress with a black pro marker I think it came out ok and saved a lot of work. I then covered the original cusion with a black material and my Gothic Newborn was finished. When I have finished my dolls house she will take pride of place in there.

Hi All

I have had a very senior moment again lol and did not use a Smeared Ink stamp on my card for Smeared Ink "Dead Diva" challenge so please remember if you do a card for the challenge at Smeared Ink don't be a dork like me and forget to use one of their stamps LOL

I have made this card for the challenge at Smeared Ink http://smudgyantics.blogspot.com/ the theme is " Dead Divas".
The dead diva image is from Delicious Doodles called "I'm Back" the male is from Ike and he is called "Eric". The back ground paper is from Crafty Chaos called "Under a Blood-Red Moon sheet no: 2. Black card is from stash

I printed both images A4 size and coloured them with promarkers, I then scanned them back on the computer and resized them, I typed the sentiment and placed on the card.
Don't they look a sweet couple.

Hi All

It is team A turn at Stamp in Sanity this week and our theme was "Lace and Pearls". I have used "Pierrette" from StampinSanity she is coloured with promarkers. I have added a piece of lace to the bottom of her skirt and used pearls down the sides at the top of the card. I also added a little glitter to her dress. Smeared & Smudge Blog Hop

Hi All

It's time again for the Smeared & Smudged Members Blog Hop the theme this month is "Paint".

I decided to alter a wooden box I have had for a while the box is made to look like a book. First I painted the box with red emulsion paint and when dry I dry brushed gold enamel paint over the box. I stamped my image from a set from Smeared Ink direct onto the box the word slave from the same set was stamped direct also. I added a bit of colour to the angel with promarkers and went over the words with a promarker liner pen. I have not done anything else to the box as I will be doing the back and inside at a later date. I hope you have enjoyed visiting my blog and hope you come again.

Smeared & Smudged Challenge

Wecome to the first Monday Challenge at Smeared & Smudged. Our theme today is "Splat"
I have used Courtney from "Mistresses of the Dark" Digi set. I first painted my canvas with black paintwhen dry I splated with red paint. Courtney was coloured with pro markers. I added 4 furniture tacs and some chain to finish. We would love you to come along and play with us. I have posted the rules below.

Synonymous Sunday

Well it's here the last day of Smudgefest at Smeared & Smudged, what will I do tomorrow. Did you know that Smeared & Smudged are doing a weekly challenge starting tomorrow so come on over and join in the fun.
For todays challenge we were given a digi to work with this little cutie is called Calypso I love her. I decided to make a fridge magnet, the magnet I altered was given to me by best friend Black Dragon. First I sanded over the magnet to give the paint a key. I did not have a glue what I was going to do so I just went with the flow. The magnet was given 2 coats of red paint when dry I added drops of Distress Ink and bloted over with a piece of kitchen roll. When dry I sprayed with glimmer mist then added distress ink and glimmer mist again. I printed out 4 copies of Calypso 3 smaller so that they could be her triplets these were coloured with pro-markers I glued them to the magnet and then sprayed over with Crafters Companion Spry & Shine. After taken hundreds of photos I found one that was not to bad. I must say that I am really pleased how the background came out I must go with the flow more often. hope you like it

Sketchy Saturday

Hi All

Well one more day to go on the Smudgefest, I am so sad :(. For day 6 we were given a sketch to use. I have used Shelby from Mistresses of the Dark digi set from Smeared Ink. My backing papers are from Crafty Chaos I used 2 sets Absolution Deferred and Zombie Catwalk. Shelby was coloured with pro markers.
